Episode 162; Dr. Albert Meige: Magic Shows, Complex Problems, Algorithmic Bias, Generative AI, ChatGPT, Existential Risk

from The QTS Experience · host Dave McCall

This week I am joined by Dr. Albert Meige, Associate Director at Thinktank Arthur D. Little,  to discuss the emerging impact of Natural Language Transformers and their potential uses to solve complex problems. Dr. Meige also discusses the philosophical implications of AI, its algorithmic biases, and the need for safeguards to ensure proper behavior and output. Without these safeguards, AI can transfer human biases to technology – we need to find a balance between using AI for human flourishing and avoiding the harm caused by unintended consequences.
