Episode 162- Wherefore God Also Hath Highly Exalted Him

We often want the reward before the work.The recognition before the sacrifice.The victory before the struggle.Yet God’s pattern is often different from our own.Throughout Scripture, we see a recurring theme.Humility comes before honor.Service comes before leadership.Faithfulness comes before reward.Paul has just described the humility and obedience of Christ.His willingness to take the form of a servant.His willingness to endure even the death of the cross.Now the story turns.Not because Christ sought exaltation for Himself.But because the Father honors the Son’s perfect obedience.And in that moment, we are reminded that God’s purposes extend far beyond the trials of the present moment.
