Episode 165: How Did the Church Respond When We Reported?

We don't really talk much about how the church responded when we reported the abuse, but it is an important part of our story. Reporting abuse is often a very lonely road for survivors. But what about for us? Jimmy is the full time minister for the church his dad led for almost 3 decades. Clara was the preacher's wife for that long, too. So did the church respond in a healthy way? While we had some support, our story is not much different from other people who are walking this road of compound traumas.
