According to Mike Coppinger of ESPN, Naoya Inoue vs TJ Doheny is set for September in Tokyo, Japan for the Super Bantamweight Undisputed Belts. Inoue is on top of the boxing world and no matter who he fights, it’s bound to be MUST WATCH!!! HOWEVER, we can’t ignore the fact that unlike his Pound For Pound Contemporaries, he lacks the big fights. Crawford had Spence, Usyk had Fury, and Canelo had Mayweather and GGG but Inoue has yet to have a big fight against a top contender. TJ Doheny doesn’t help as he is 26-4 suffering losses from Sam Goodman and Michael Conlan with no notable wins.
