Episode 165: The Joy of the Lord is My Strength

In Nehemiah 8, the people are assembled together inside the newly rebuilt city of walls of Jerusalem. As they hear the Law of God read aloud, they become grieved and are weeping. Nehemiah tells them not to grieve, not to worry or be upset -- but to make the joy of the Lord their strength. The word strength here means "refuge, protection, stronghold, safe harbor." Can you rejoice in the Lord with a glad heart and know He is your refuge and protection?
