This week on the Live to Walk Again Podcast we had a chance to visit with Dianne Vitkus who is a Physician Assistant, a Wings for Life Ambassador, and a Spinal Cord Injury Survivor. We talked about how she suffered a spinal cord injury, getting the opportunity to go sailing on the "Impossible Dream", a racing catamaran that empowers disabled sailors and the film "This Is Not A Dream" documenting her and others experiences sailing on the ship. We also discussed the nerve rerouting surgery she had in hopes of continuing her career as a Surgical Physician Assistant, becoming an ambassador for Wings For Life and Help Hope Live, and documenting her journey since being injured.
