Their dynamic blend of brass and percussion will ignite the streets, sparking dance and joy. Join the party - feel the beat, feel the power! In their seventh year of playing, the Hoot'n'Annies are a collective of non-professional musicians passionate about performing and encouraging more women in music - especially brass! They all have "day-jobs" that include public servants, teachers, librarians, software engineers and NGO support, and like to take on challenges in their musical journey whilst supporting each other through life. They range in age from "young" to "Hoot'n'Granny" (of which they have 2), but they are all young at heart, especially when the music starts. They'll be performing at Cuba Dupa on 28th and 29th March. We're joined with 3 of the band members, Paula, Jeanette and Clare. You can find them on socials here:(7) FacebookHoot'n'Annies (@hootnanniesnz) • Instagram photos and videos
