Episode 168: News, Bilie Eilish: The World's a Little Blurry, The United States vs. Billie Holiday

It's Billie Week on Breakfast All Day, as we review two new movies that focus on singular singers who happen to share that name. Christy, Matt and Alonso discuss the Apple TV+ documentary "Billie Eilish: The World's a Little Blurry," which takes an intimate look at the teen pop phenom. Next up is "The United States vs. Billie Holiday," in which Andra Day gives a powerhouse performance as the tormented jazz legend. In news, we discuss the dognapping of Lady Gaga's Frenchies, Tiger Woods' car crash, this weekend's Golden Globe Awards (and the heightened scrutiny on the Hollywood Foreign Press Association), the upcoming Frogger game show and the many '90s reboots in the giant Paramount Plus slate announcement. Over at our Patreon, we recap this week's "WandaVision" episode, which takes us back through Wanda's trauma, as well as the season finale of "Bridgerton," so we finally know the identity of Lady Whistledown. And for this month's Off the Menu selection, we revisit Kasi Lemmons' ambitious feature debut, 1997's "Eve's Bayou." Thanks as always for joining us! UPDATE: Someone returned Lady Gaga's French bulldogs safely to the police!
