Science continues to show the effects of sleep on all performance. In the journal for pediatric medicine, they have demonstrated that sleep loss has direct correlation on sports injury. It shows that a person who averages 6 hours of sleep per night is almost 4 times as likely to get injured in sport than someone who gets 9 hours of sleep per night! Similarly those who sleep less than 5 hours are 4.5 times more likely to have a cold than those who sleep 7 hours per night.
