Episode 17 - CFML Plugin for IntelliJ

from 2 Devs from Down Under · host Kai Koenig and Mark Mandel

This was an interview that we were really, really excited about. We had the chance to interview Kirill Safonov, who is responsible (amongst other things) for the CFML plugin for the IntelliJ IDE. If anyone follows Kai or Mark on twitter, you will probably know that they have both really started to enjoy developing ColdFusion with the IntelliJ IDE, so this was a great opportunity to pick the brain of the guy that helps direct where this project is going. We had a great chat with Kirill about the history of the CFML plugin, as well as a roadmap for the future. It was very interesting to hear that the roadmap for the plugin is very much driven by the community, i.e. bugs in the bug tracker, and discussions on the mailing list. Our favourite IntelliJ plugins also were discussed, although if any listeners want to chime in with their favourites, please feel free to do so in the comments!
