Bass theory, reading music, playing technique…I was on the hunt to find something awesome…In 2013 I didn’t have much mobility; this then spilled into 2014 due to a Moto X accident. That’s how I discovered UK bassist & educator Stuart Clayton and his brand — Bassline Publishing. I still use them today.This episode is very cool; we got to discuss Stuart’s teaching background, how he started Bassline Publishing, and his approach to bass playing in general. Stuart has a minimalist approach towards gear, and shows a strong emphasis on reading, theory, and playing. I did some online tapping study during COVID with Stuart.
