Australia's healthcare sector is one of the largest emitters per capita, with an estimated 35.8 million tonnes of CO2-e emissions annually which equates to 7% of Australia's total emissions. Dr Penny Hodges, an anaesthetist at Royal North Shore and North Shore Private Hospitals NSW, and a NetZero Co Lead for anaesthesia in the NSLHD joined us on the pod to talk about net zero emissions from Healthcare and Anaesthesia.
