Episode 17- David Joyner- Assistant District Attorney, New Hanover County

They are joined by a lifelong resident of Eastern North Carolina who currently serves as an Assistant District Attorney in New Hanover County. He is dedicated to pursuing justice for victims, witnesses, and survivors of crime and takes great pride in his role. As an Assistant District Attorney, he focuses solely on criminal prosecutions and oversees all District Court trials for cases originating in the City of Wilmington. His caseload primarily includes domestic violence, firearms offenses, and DWI cases. He also supervises substance abuse treatment courts, including creating the Veterans’ Treatment Court in New Hanover County. On average, he leads as the first-chair attorney in around a dozen weekly cases, making him an experienced prosecutor.
