Send us Fan MailRich Shayewitz is and will always be associated with Sonoma State University, but a few short months ago, in the middle of the season as the head men’s basketball coach he was told the college was going to cut all athletics at the end of the season. Listen to how Coach Shayewitz attempted to handle the rest of the season and he is still hard on himself for maybe not doing things perfectly, spoken like a true coach. Rich is one of the good guys. He works hard daily to be a great husband, father and coach. This conversation is a glimpse into his past and an announcement about where his future is going to take him. Sunny weather is definitely in his future. My only wish is this conversation was longer than one hour, we have so much more to talk about.
