Episode 17: Possessed by the God of Mission

In Matthew 28:19, Jesus said, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, & of the Son, & of the Holy Ghost." We are invited to participate in Christ's ongoing mission of redemption & reconciliation to the world. It's not enough to have the mission of God in our heart - we must become possessed by the God of mission. Missiologist David Bosch said, “The entire Christian existence is missionary. The church is missionary by its very nature. There is no dichotomy between foreign and national missions.” What does this mean for us? It means that you & I & every other follower of Jesus are missionaries - or sent ones - for Christ everywhere we go. Come, Holy Spirit.
