Episode 17: Space Jam (1996)
from Haven’t Seen That in Forever Hosted by SAAM LLC
This week on Haven't Seen That in Forever, we're lacing up our sneakers and heading back to 1996 for Space Jam. Part sports movie, part cartoon, part fever dream, Space Jam somehow became one of the most beloved family films of the '90s. Join us as we revisit Michael Jordan's first (and only?) trip to the big screen, the Looney Tunes' battle against the Monstars, and the cultural phenomenon that turned a simple basketball game into a generation-defining event. We discuss the movie's unforgettable soundtrack, its place in sports and pop culture history, the wild cameos, and whether nostalgia is carrying this one, or if it still genuinely holds up nearly 30 years later. So grab your secret stuff, cue up "I Believe I Can Fly," and get ready to jam. Welcome to the Space Jam.
