procrastination I want to talk about or I wanted to talk a little bit about procrastination because of the fact that I didn't come up with the topic this week and like I procrastinated but I had valid reasons of why I procrastinated it's not really defensive well cuz I do have valid reasons I was busy with other shit yeah like I had to do I work on a wedding for a friend of mine and then like a video wedding yeah I had organized clips okay cool yeah and then I had to I had a life you know like I was living it up living the dream you know going to work coming home going straight to bed you know that's my life yeah playing a watch yeah you know not hang out with friends you know same old shit yeah but I mean were you a big procrast procrast procrastinator procrastinator yeah there you go you consider yourself one I probably was my best answer yes look how long it took you to say I prioritize my procrastination what do you mean like so like if I know something's coming up and if it's something important I'll prepare myself and like do my due diligence but if it's something I kind of deem like okay let me give you an example yeah let's say you had an assignment at work that needed to be done what's today Friday it needed to be done Monday how would you go about doing that I would but I would like plan out my weekend accordingly I'll probably get started on it tonight but like realistic oh you get started on it tonight like yeah so I would probably like lay out the groundwork tonight and see what I can do over the weekend and then like Saturday Sunday would actually work on it for ample amount of procrastinator no that's not true but like if I knew no I am no I have here's the thing but find you like people want to hang out and like like they're making plans and that is like my turn to bring up like like suggest something like I'll put that all clear I'll just fucking wait I'll just Google some shit oh that's so true every time I ask you come on the topic you come up with it also last minute yeah see okay so when it's unimportant you procrastinate but yeah yeah I mean I'd say this is not important because I mean I have still one topics for this podcast and not given credit for you exactly it's all my credit but yeah like so it depends on the like thing that the the degree of what it is yeah what about you are you like have you on because I would say no you seem always to be very diligent I am but it's it's all an illusion it's like no literally for example like this topic yeah now right I had a whole week to come up with it okay came up with it on the fly because that's where I know we're best okay I procrastinated a whole week but when I do like when it comes down to the last minute yeah it's like yeah I'm clutch with it bro you know I mean yeah straight collection it dude like I did actually in college I did a speech I had to take a speech class for communications and one of our assignments well for the whole semester you basically do three speeches so each like month or whatever is a different speech and one of my speeches we had to do and they revolve around my topic so for example this speech I'm about to talk about how to be a speech of like teaching someone to do something and what I did for that speech was teaching someone how to not procrastinate and for that speech which is funny like I found you know I did my research I found different ways to not be a procrastinator and stuff and I used to some of my like life experiences when I did procrastinate and how those tools I found could help could help me and could still help me and one of the things was like you like prioritize your time like see what you could get done in certain days and I just remember also one episode of this old show back in the day on a glory and called Neds the classified school so probably that was actually a good show yeah they talk about procrastination too they're like how to deal with it and one of the things they said which is I think that's where I got my research from I think I pulled from that shelf for this speech but they pretty much just said like do the small things for the big project first yeah like let's say for example like you're in school you have to make a huge diagram for I don't know whatever right right like you had to make little models of people and buildings of stuff or and what have you so do all the little things first like make all the little people first then work on the big shit yeah you know because I think when you prioritize that way it's kind of like like you're just making a checklist and knocking off one point I think that way because I think a lot of the time what causes people to procrastinate is just the thought of like such a big project you know they're like oh fuck I have all this shit to do yeah like how am I gonna do it I'll think about it later yeah you know I like doing the small things first you just because it's like you get that sense of progression like yeah damn I'm knocking all the shit on the way I'm on momentum going it's just kind of easier to transition to the bigger or at least more demanding tasks of whatever you're like working on and stuff yeah now I say that I'm clutch when it comes to this shit okay but honestly do the real clutch person that I know when it comes to fucking procrastinating and working on projects is my man and my good friend fucking Peter I knew I knew you're gonna say yes because this full was like master at last-minute shit I kid you not okay back in high school sophomore year we had to do a bio project we pretty much had to make a diagram of a cell okay I remember that project yeah yeah I think everyone had to do that so we had that was given to us I think like two weeks in advance we had like two weeks to work on it okay and the day of the projects do comes okay everyone because mind you me and Peter were in the space engineering cabinet together and a lot of us in that academy took a lot of the same classes yeah so obviously everyone that had to do the bio cell project were usually always in the same class like either before or after the bio class and so we get into this we get school morning of the project do right and you see everyone from our station in academy oh look this is my cell project is my cell project right Peter kid you not walks walks into class the morning of or not walks into walks into school morning of looking around like wait is this all project you today we're just like yeah what yeah we're just like bro yeah he's like fuck no he's like yeah I'm like damn it's an individual project yeah individual project okay yeah so like fucking we had bio third period okay and we had English class second period and during our second period English class we always had this time called I think it was literally just called reading time where it was just 15 minutes of silence and everyone just reading whatever they wanted to read the way this class was set up like desk wise was the desks were off to the side of the room left and right side and they would face each other right yeah so it'd be like split and then the teachers desk was like in the front of the room yeah yeah okay so I'm on left side of the room peers on the other side he's on like the right side of the room towards the back of the classroom right or the teachers exit up towards the front and I'm like in the middle on the left side of the room and I'm sitting there I'm like reading and I just hear a lot of like wrestling like fucking paper moving around and shit and I'm just like who the fuck is doing like I'm trying to read my book during reading time bro who's making noise right I look up okay I look towards Peter's direction and you just see this dude fucking like like rummaging around like for fucking materials and shit like yeah like hell crazy just like like fucking no seriously doing this project right now during bucket Mrs. Adams reading time and during this time our teacher would sometimes walk around the classroom right like just checking on us whatever and she was doing this at this time okay as Peter's fucking sitting there making a goddamn cell model out of fucking binder paper okay like straight up binder paper and this dude's like putting tape like fucking try to make the little circular cell like figure with and like holding up with tape you know all this shit right and our teachers just walks over to him and she's straight up just standing by his desk with her hands like this you know holding together just in front of her just looking at him and I'm just like oh no this will just got caught I was like no and she she was the dopest teacher ever because she just said what you working on Peter and he was like I have the cell project you next period she's like oh would you like some construction paper you know cuz he was just using pinder paper and basic as fuck yeah if you have some please I got you so she goes away from the teacher yeah she's out of the front grass construction paper fucking lets him do his project during reading time while everyone else is reading their goddamn book he let him do his fucking project last fucking minute never watched that it's it's okay I would say I mean like he does touch on some points but it's like at the end of the day though like the reason why I guess I feel like it's somewhat disconnected at technically not a documentary but it's put out to be one it's basically about this guy this there's drug dealer who sells these drugs to a group of kids that were recording like a short film or it's not short film they were just recording like a vlog so was it real was like that actually happened in like no it's supposed to be kind of I think it's a script like I think it's scripted but it's supposed to be like it's a documentary because basically what happens is the drug dealer steals their camera and then like documents his life and shit in their camera and then by the end of it like how it basically got made like how the documentary got made was that the dude who stole the camera sells all his all of his footage that he took to a producer and then they make it oh yeah so it's like it's really interesting it's really good because you get to see like kind of the lifestyle that he lives and like the shit he goes through and everything but yeah off the check it out yeah snow they do for example like that's their style yeah for example um listening quesenteransino his tour is dialogue and like music and shit he like a lot of his films have a lot of dialogue to it that's like very raunchy and you know yeah oh yeah just overblown yeah he does a lot of his films uh we're not a lot but he does do like chopping the shit all up but basically i think pulp fiction he made because like the way he writes his films is based off music that he wants to use for specific seeds so like literally he'll think of a like he'll try to pick a song first before even writing the script he's like i like a song on a red movie around that's interesting yeah and um one of michael bays signature moves literally is like the fucking uh the camera will circle around like characters like continuously like just a big ass fucking circle around the character now if you're not like you see in transformers like almost all every single transformers there's a shot look back go ahead guys watch a transformers film and comment back saying that you're right kyle almost every single film has one of those shots in it and what's funny why i bring this up is because i was watching another film that he made which i did not know he made until i noticed one of his shots yeah and he also doesn't have bad boys one and two the fucking circular shot oh yeah i i can recall one yeah the specific thing i'm thinking about i think it's from bad boys too um is when will smith and martin are in one of the drug lords you know like a Haitian shoot and they start shooting shoot out but between the walls just going from each side yeah so that specific scene was caught uh took or not sorry was replicated in a movie that i didn't know was directed by michael bae movie painting game with michael walburry oh i know i know i know he did that movie yeah exactly i didn't know that either and that movie was actually pretty good i like that movie that movie made me really like split uh like not nauseated but like it really like kind of made me sick to myself me sometimes why um like the motion or like just it was a bad movie no like um i think the part where they're torturing the guy uh and then the fucking dwayne's character like um kind of caught in between trying to be a good guy and like like kind of made me emotionally like oh fuck man like he just wants to be a good dude and shit yeah well actually sorry and you're up to you but i read the uh like what that movie was based on because it was based on true story um there wasn't like a third guy i think dwayne's character was actually a part of the main dude's personality but like he was so like bipolar and shit they gave him his own character and i was like and i think reading that to you that made me also like fucking like damn this is kind of intense for me so yeah um but yeah so there's a scene in that film can't remember the specific scene but again this fucking circular shot and as that scene's going on i was watching it with one of her cousins and as that scene's going on i'm like huh this is director michael bay isn't it and she's like i don't know i'm like look it up she looks actually yeah how the fuck do you know that i'm like because of that fucking shot it's in every single one of his goddamn movies signature shot yeah his signature shot and actually this reminds me of another story i took a sketch comedy writing class over the summer one time during college and one of our assignments was to basically write a sketch a commie sketch and write it in a way that i was directed by a certain director and one of my or not write a commie sketch i think we write a basic scene i think they gave us the scene i think the scene was just like right uh some dude goes to target buy something and walks out like that was a scene and we had to write it specifically how a certain director would do it and i wrote it and how michael bay would have done it and basically what it is it's just like uh i gotta find that script it's hell of funny because we haven't get plenty to so basically what happens is the guy walks up to the cash register there's some back and forth talk like how michael bay always has in his movies like that fucking smarty talk as well yeah and then like he buys the thing and as we're talking to doing the during the exchange when he's buying the thing it does a circular shot or whatever i like i wrote that in there and then as he's walking away he puts on his sunglasses and then just explodes in the background because he's known for that too a lot of explosions yeah so yeah that was fun a little quick fun facts about myself sorry this is really all about me isn't it yeah episode 17 yeah all about me what are we just call it rift rift rift part two
