Episode 17 - The Three in One

The Bible reveals in the Old Testament that there is one God, but in the New Testament, we see that this One God is revealed as a Triune God, the three in one. 1 John 5:7 says, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”The Lord exists simultaneously in three persons. Each is coequal, co-powerful, and coeternal.This hypostatic union matters because Jesus, like the Father was present in eternity past as God. So as God, he alone was worthy to die the substitutionary death for sins. The Holy Spirit, which indwells believers today, is also God, which means we have God’s very presence with us at all times. Today, rest assured that the Lord has never changed and we are encouraged by His faithfulness in our life each day.
