Episode 170: Nick & Adam of Wake Magnolia (Hard Rock) [Akron, OH]

Continuing with our mini-series focusing on artists in Ohio, I talked to the guys in Wake Magnolia who are a two piece alt rock band from Akron, OH consisting of Nick Galbincea (guitar & vocals) and Adam Miller (drums). They describe their sound as dirty melodic rock with thick guitar tone and loud complimenting drums. They have been releasing music since 2015. In 2022 Wake Magnolia released a new album called "Shadow Cast Light" and was awarded best rock band by the Cleavland Music Awards. I featured their songs “Bruiser” and “Majcher” respectively. They also have a brand new behind the scenes short film on the making of the album that comes out today. So we had a fun conversation talking about that, the new album, and the scene in Ohio in general.
