Episode 172: Are You Tired Of Living Life Centred On Your Self? Help Is Here!

‭‭(1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:1-3‬ ‭TPT‬‬; Mark 3:25) Apostle Paul, addressing and charging the Church of Corinth because of division among them. Surely a house torn apart by divisions will collapse, as Jesus mentioned in Mark 3:25 Paul found it difficult to speak with the Church of Corinth because they were dominated by the mind-set of the flesh rather than being matured in Christ allowing their regenerated spirit to control their thoughts and deeds. These were the questions he put across to them - “Is there jealousy among you? Do you compare yourselves with others? Do you quarrel like children and end up taking sides? If so, this proves that you are living your lives centered on yourselves, dominated by the mind-set of the flesh, and behaving like unbelievers.” All the questions pointed to the causes of division among the Church. Let’s narrow it down to ourselves, as Christians as missionaries among our peers, colleagues, communities or where ever we see ourselves- Who has authority or dominion to rule over our mind? Our regenerated spirit or our flesh? As Christ believers, our reigning in life can only be achieved by living life centred on Christ and the only way we to victorious living is by dying to our flesh by the help of the Holy Spirit. Allowing our mind to be subjected to regenerated spirit who is continually watered by the Word of God. Are you tired of living life centred on yourself? Be intentional, by the help of the Holy Spirit, to subject your mind to the authority of God’s Word. As you study the Word of God, your regenerated spirit gains supremacy over the flesh. Let us pray Father I thank You for Your Word that daily cleans us. Thank You for calling us to reign in life like You Thank You for how far You have opened our eyes of understanding. I pray for freshness of Your grace to be able to die daily to self so we can live victoriously in Godly love. In Jesus’ name. Amen
