Episode 173: Do You Desire To Bask In God’s Presence?
from Detox with Abi · host Abimbola Arawande
(Isaiah 53:12; Eph 2:8; John 14:6) Every organisation has her policy which employees and stakeholders must adhere by. When you also go to restaurants, there are standards that must be maintained to gain access and enjoy their services. I remembered being asked to use face masks or shield in order to have access to one of the stores during the compulsory use of masks to combat the Covid 19 virus. When I met the standard- using mask- I was allowed in.. Likewise, nobody could come boldly to God’s presence because He is a holy God. Good News! God Himself made provision for us to gain unrestricted access to Him through embracing and accepting Jesus Christ’s finished work on the Cross. “Therefore, I will divide and give Him a portion with the great [kings and rulers], And He shall divide the spoils with the mighty, Because He [willingly] poured out His life to death, And was counted among the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore and took away the sin of many, And interceded [with the Father] for the transgressors.” Isaiah 53:12 AMP God saved us. He delivered us from guilt and punishment our sins deserved. God delivered us from the ruling power of sin. So, what do you need to see and access, to gain entrance into the gift of God’s presence? Belief! “I mean that you have been saved by grace because you believe. You did not save yourselves. It was a gift from God.” Ephesians 2:8 ICB Embrace the truth. Jesus Himself mentioned this truth - “Jesus answered, “I am the way. And I am the truth and the life. The only way to the Father is through me.” John 14:6 ICB Embrace this truth and experience and bask in Father’s abiding and manifest precious presence. Let’s pray I thank You Lord for Your Word, for the gift of Jesus.
