(2 Corinth 10:12) Let your uniqueness blossom; avoid comparing yourself with others. Let your uniqueness blossom; let the Word of God be your standard or yardstick for living. David Worcester in one of blogs mentioned “In the comparison game you always lose. If you are better in that area, you will be tempted to be proud. If you are worse in that area, you will be tempted to be discouraged.” In my own recent experience, I made a blatant mistake of making inaccurate update of stakeholders’ progress using assumptions because I compared my result with a colleague instead of using the standard provided by the organisation. The director called my attention to the update and appropriate changes were made. How are you comparing yourself as a disciple of Christ? Are you using the standard of God’s Word or comparing yourself with others to see if they are better or worse, as Apostle Paul mentioned from 2 Corinth 10:12? Remember, let your uniqueness blossom; avoid comparing yourself with others. Let the Word of God be your yardstick or standard for living. “Some people praise themselves. They say how clever they are. But we could never do that. We could not even try to be like those people. But they do not understand anything. They decide among themselves how good they are.
