In part one of this captivating tale, we introduce you to a martial arts legend who began her journey back in April of 1973.  From those early days, she has not only earned the esteemed rank of 10th Degree Black Belt in Ed Parker's American Kenpo Karate but has also shattered barriers as one of the first female 10th Degree Senior Masters. Our guest's journey is deeply intertwined with the history of Kenpo, having been a personal student of Senior Grand master Edmund Parker until his passing in 1990.  Today, she continues to inspire as a student of Grand master Gilbert Velez. Master Doreen DiRienzo, as one of the co-founders of Kenpo International, has left an indelible mark on the martial arts landscape.  Her teachings have reached far beyond the shores of her homeland, with seminars and workshops conducted throughout Europe, Canada, Mexico, and Chile. Her story doesn't stop at the dojo.  Master DiRienzos commitment to education led her to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education from Northeastern University.  Unable to find a teaching job, she took matters into her own hands and founded Revere Karate Academy, which has since impacted the lives of over 35,000 students.
