Emily is a second year PhD student in the Department of Plant Biology and the Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior program at MSU. Her research interests center on plant community dynamics broadly, and urban ecosystems and ecological restoration more specifically, using prairies as her focal community type. Emily is participating in the MSU Science Festival School Programs, with her presentation titled Ask a Scientist: Nature in My Backyard where she will discuss her work with plant communities in urban ecosystems. At the festival, WaMPS will be doing a Physics of Sports presentation on Saturday, April 10, at 1:30 pm.
