The Burros dig into the history books to learn more about the "first" Thanksgiving feast. Surprisingly, they discover the "Separatist" movement from England to Holland and eventually leading to North America. It's a harrowing story of a people trying to escape an overbearing Church of England and a desperate will to survive in the harshest of elements. They also learn more about the native tribe that assisted them in growing crops on a land they believed they'd inhabited for over 15,000 years! In 1789, President George Washington proclaimed the last Thursday of the month of November as a day of Thanksgiving to God. Hear that proclamation at the top of this episode. In a society that seems less and less thankful the group stops and reflects on what they are thankful for and share some interesting stories from past holidays.
