Episode #18 - Michael Capes, Jesse Podawful, Rucka, Cutting the Cable, Amazon Rifle, Gator Hand, Space Music

from The Best Debate in the Universe · host Madcast Media Network / Maddox

Cable TV is estimated to lose nearly $1 billion next year. With more and more people cutting the cable and turning to alternatives like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon, the debate this week is: IS CUTTING THE CABLE WORTH IT, OR WILL CONSUMERS END UP SPENDING MORE IN THE LONG RUN? I'm joined this week by my good friend and host, Michael Capes (https://twitter.com/themikecapes), hot off the heals of releasing his latest "Hacks of Life" episode where he not only sneaks into a movie, but brings with him an electric hot-plate to cook fresh popcorn right in the theater. Definitely one of my favorite Capes videos, in a catalog full of excellent videos: https://www.youtube.com/embed/FtJWKdTgRXY Plus my homey Jesse P-S from PodAwful (http://podawful.com/) calls in and shits all over the news. Not just cable news, but any news. He doesn't care for it. In fact, he cares so little about the news, he hasn't watched or read any since September 11, 2001. Also, I forgot to link to Laurie Foster's SUPER (http://www.super-comic.com/) comic last week. Check it out! Check out these badass wares from K&H: https://rss.madcastmedia.com/bestdebate/18/kh_products1.jpg And here is the HD antenna I was talking about on this episode, only $30 on Amazon. It works best in larger cities. I get over 65 channels: all the network channels + a bunch of public access crap, Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese channels. It's awesome: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IF70T4M/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_x_jvS8xbA0YT6W4 And here's the strange Quad Cities DJ mix of Daytona: https://www.youtube.com/embed/iyVr1ux1Cok And for anyone interested in space music, check out Russ Garcia - Fantastica.
