Episode 18: Possessed by the God of Mission - Part 2 - Palm Sunday - P.S. I Love You

Jesus is the "Missionary" Son of God. Jesus said, "As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you." This means that every born-again Christian is a "sent one", or a missionary. What can we glean from what took place the night before Palm Sunday (John 12:1-8)? How is Palm Sunday still as transformational today as it was 2,000 years ago? Why did Mary anoint Jesus' feet with spikenard oil? Did Mary know something about Jesus & his mission that the others didn't understand yet? Why is it significant that Palm Sunday occurred during Christ's last earthly Passover? Like the disciples learned later, revelation comes when Jesus is glorified. Maybe Mary anointed Jesus for his death, because she glorified him & listened to him & knew. Sacrificial worship that glorifies Jesus helps prepare us for our role in the mission of God.
