Episode 18 Toxic Relationships
from Try Not To Overthink It · host Try Not to Overthink It
Hey guys it's Unique and RJ! We all have often heard people say that “good relationships require hard work” or that “fights or arguments are normal”. This may be true in some instances, but there is a clear and distinct difference between being in a relationship that is positive and constructive and one that is toxic and detrimental. A toxic relationship is one that makes you feel devalued, taken for granted, unsupported, misunderstood, demeaned, or under attack. Often times a person in a toxic relationship will find their well-being is threatened in some kind of way rather that be mentally, emotionally, physically, or spiritually. In today’s episode we’re going to take a deep dive into toxic relationships and have a real honest conversation about them. Our hope is that our listeners will get something from this deep, honest, and real conversation from the viewpoint of both a Licensed Professional Counselors and a Licensed Social Worker. Stay tuned as we drop new content weekly. If you want to watch this episode we can be found at Try Not To Overthink it on Youtube.
