Episode 180: "Depression Part 1 - I Wanted To Die"

from Learn For 2 Podcast · host Brandon DeVere

“Depression” It can be a dark, lonely place that isolates you from everything you have ever cared about, rendering you unrecognizable. Making it feel like there is no way out, no end in sight. It can leave you paralyzed on your couch, staring up at the rafters above, looking for the “strong points”. The ones strong enough to support your rapidly falling body, without crashing in. Because the last thing you want is to fail, and have the ceiling fall in. Crushing you but not finishing the job, forcing you to live with the failure.. You can feel each fiber of the rope slide through your hands as you look up to contemplate where you will fasten it. Then you hear a knock at the door… “Hi Scott, will you come watch my game? We need some help learning how to play”. Then you think to yourself… “I guess it couldn’t kill me” And just like that, you have another chance at life. _______ During this time we felt it was important to share Scott’s story with as many as we could. So I’m releasing a 2-part interview episode about his battle with depression and what he has done to battle it. This is part 1 of his story. #mindset #selfimprovment #depression #
