Episode 182: BitKeep Wallet, Shopify Cypto Payments, Canaan's Growth

Singapore-based crypto wallet BitKeep announced Wednesday the close of a $15 million Series A round at a $100 million post-money valuation. The funding will help BitKeep develop a cross-chain decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) to give ecosystem ownership to wallet users. BitKeep has some big names backing them and they will be one of the crypto wallets to look for in the future. Merchants using e-commerce platform Shopify ($SHOP) now have access to Crypto.com as another way for accepting cryptocurrency payments. Sellers using the Crypto.com Pay feature can allow customers to settle their accounts with over 20 tokens, according to a statement. Supercomputing solutions company Canaan (CAN), which specializes in bitcoin mining hardware, said revenue surged 237% from the year-earlier quarter to $213.9 million. The one analyst cited on Yahoo Finance had forecast $27.37 million. Seeking Alpha, also with one analyst, estimated $213.86 million. Net income climbed to $69.7 million. Earnings per share were 2.7 cents, or 41 cents per ADS, the company said.
