Our guest, Samantha Gasbarro runs the Boston Marathon and is running in her 1st NYC Marathon this year in support of Boston Children's Hospital.Samantha tells us the story of her daughter Serafina who was born with a serious heart defect. Thanks to the wonderful people at Boston Children's Hospital, Serafina is starting the 1st grade this year! Although she will be dealing with the effects of this defect for the remainder of her life, she is doing very very well and lives close to a normal life for a young girl of 6 years old!Our guest, Samantha, explains what the defect is and why she is running marathons to raise money!
