Episode 185: "The Man Who Was Thursday" by G. K. Chesterton, Intro and Ch. 1-4

Welcome back to the Literary Life podcast this week and our new series on G. K. Chesterton's The Man Who Was Thursday. Angelina, Cindy, and Thomas open with their commonplace quotes, as usual, then proceed to setting up the background for this book and the man Chesterton himself. Thomas also shares Chesterton's poem to E. C. Bentley that opens this book and gives a brief explication of the poem. Following this, our hosts recap each chapter in the first section. Angelina makes several connections to Paradise Lost in this section, as well as pointing out the romantic and chivalric quest elements in the story.
