A rare case of a film based on a book all of us have read, we talk a bit about the Crichton source material and talk the 'Pet Sounds / Sgt Peppers' phenomenon going on with the novels and films. We then discuss the film's action adventure vibe, and Spielberg's penchant for mixing the sentimental and sinister.
