Episode 19 explores the Hospital Employees Union 30th Biennial Convention as Carlos sits down with Jennifer Whiteside, Secretary-Business Manager of the HEU and Shawna Lockhart, HEU activist and Care Aid to discuss the HEU's 'Care Can't Wait' campaign which is advocating Government to provide the necessary funding to ensure that care homes in British Columbia are meeting minimum staffing guidelines and that care home operators are held accountable to ensure funding supports secure, stable staffing - not more profits for administration.
