Episode 19 - Garrison Mathews "Professional Shooter"

This week Andy and Liam have the opportunity to interview their first professional NBA player, Garrison Mathews, shooting guard for the Washington Wizards. Given the season's indefinite suspension by Adam Silver, Mathews had some extra time to talk about his journey of making it to the NBA coming from a small, mid-major school. When asked about his accolades in college, he emphasized the importance of being a team player and how much the coaches, mentors, and teammates he's had have impacted his success. With the intention of making a full time roster spot on the Wizards, the nickname "Professional Shooter" has given birth as Mathews dropped a career-high 28 points against a young and talented Miami Heat team. Playing alongside multiple superstars on the Wizards, Mathews talks about going one-on-one against John Wall in practice and how guarding Bradley Beal has increased his defensive-play drastically. Rounding out the interview, Andy and Liam ask Garrison what his future looks like moving forward. His answer?
