Episode 19: Interview with Bryan O'Connor - Music Historian & Author of 2 Published Books covering The History of Popular Music

In this episode, I will be interviewing music author Bryan O’Connor. By day Bryan is Vice President of Finance for a Hunger Relief Organization. And by night he is an established music author. Bryan joins me to discuss his most recent 2021 published book, Time Decorated – A History of Popular Music in 12 Playlists and another book he wrote in 2019 titled, For the Record – My 1,000 Favorite Albums from 1957-2017. Not only was I impressed with Bryan’s intelligence but his music knowledge goes deep and spreads across MANY genres. So we won’t be discussing one type of music in this interview. I think you’ll pick up on Bryan’s modesty as he classifies his knowledge level as “basic”, which I vehemently disagree with and I think you will too.
