Episode 19: Knowing, Insights, and Truth

from The Wonder Land · host Amanda Jones

The misunderstanding that insight is  precious,  an “only if you’re lucky” phenomena…a thing that is lost or gained, a brick on the road to OZ. Knowing and insights as the currency of engaging in this inquiry can become a heavy burden "The truth is simple. If it were complicated, everyone would understand it" Walt Whitman   What is knowing and how do we know?   Jed Mckenna excerpt: “When we start looking at what we really know and how we know and the nature of knowing, then the unreality of reality is revealed. I am not aware of my hands, rather, the three – I, awareness and hands – are one; perceiver-perception-perceived. We develop our sense of object permanence by the age of two, but we might still wonder if something really exists when we no longer observe it. We outgrow such questions, but not because we answered them. It’s perfectly valid to ask; How do I know my bicycle really exists when I don’t see it? The answer is; I don’t. The better question is; How do I know my bicycle exists when I do see it? The answer is; I don’t. The best question is; Then how the hell do I know anything exists? The answer is; I don’t.”   Interested in working with us? Check out our websites: Amanda's website : https://www.uncoveryspace.com/ Alex's website: https://canaimacoaching.com/
