Episode 19: Laughing Matters (August 2021)

from Laughter and Libations · host Shawneille Campbell-Dunbar

Text comments and questions here! This month was a difficult one for me and many in my circle. I was reminded once again that life is fragile and precious. I was reminded that life is not something to take for granted. With this in mind, I prompt you to reflect on your health and celebrate what is going well for you right now.  I really needed a bit of uplifting myself, and it was wonderful to laugh. I laughed more than I expected while ranting about the cost of a medication I needed, and I share my fascination with food and beverage containers with long "FREE FROM" lists. Free from sugar. Free from gluten. What is carrageenan anyway? You get where I'm going with this! Finally, I wrap up with a couple of questions and make my first announcement about a couple of new things coming soon in September. Laughing Matters is published at the end of each month. It's the end-of-the-month highlights and includes three segments: celebrations, rants, and questions and answers. Celebrations are about intentionally forming a habit of noticing and acknowledging the good in you, in your life, and in your sphere of influence. Rants are about anything I find funny and want to share. Then, I wrap up by answering questions received from listeners throughout the month.  Do you have a question you'd like me to feature during a future episode? Don't be shy.
