In addition, they highlight the steps that the Port has taken to improve critical infrastructure to help facilitate energy export growth, allowing for Texas and the U.S. to continue to be the world’s global energy leader.--Port of Corpus Christi: The Port has been in operation since 1926 and has become the nation’s largest energy export gateway and the third-largest export port for crude oil in the world. The Port boasts a 54-foot-deep channel, three Class I railroads – BNSF, CPKC, and UP – and a location adjacent to connecting Texas highways Interstate 37 and Highway 181.
