Episode 19: Queer Christianity - LGBTQ faith with Grace

from Beer Christianity · host Beer Christianity podcast

Meet Grace. She's cool, funny, a committed Christian, and gay. Being gay and a Christian is a hard concept for some people to get their heads around. If we're going to move beyond the same old arguments, it might be helpful to move from propositions to the personal. To meet someone who has experienced it themselves.  This episode is a simple interview with Grace, in a pub called The Alex in Southend-on-Sea, where Jonty talks to Grace about her story. You'll hear some of the hurt that churches can cause LGBTQ people, and about some of the amazing acceptance and support she has found in her church and in a community of LGBTQ Christians in her town. We also discuss some of the difficult issues around where people are on their journey with this issue, and drinking beer in Tanzania. Grace is a funny, smart, interesting person who loves Jesus and wants more people to experience his love. It's worth listening to what she has to say.  Follow Beer Christianity on Twitter: @beerxianity and find us on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube and Stitcher.  All Beer Christianity shows and info available at http://beerchristianity.libsyn.com  Jesus Christ is the Son of God and came to teach us a better way to be while reconciling us to God and each other in a way we could never do without Him. He also changed water into wine. Nice.
