Episode 193 - Ashley J's Story

from Spiritual Underground Podcast · host Dan Reeves

Ash, as he's known, is from Salina Kansas, a veteran of two deployments in Iraq, and a new friend of mine. we met on a social networking app called Clubhouse. It was a cold call, I made it known there that the Spiritual Underground Podcast is always looking for guests who are willing to share their recovery journeys, Ash raised his hand almost immediately. Our contact has been limited to say the least, he's a busy man with a company he owns and young children, so this podcast gave me a chance to get to know him better, and I'm glad I did. I've been dancing with an idea that correlates military brotherhood with what we are doing in recovery and Ash helped solidify some of those notions. I'm not sure where I'll be going with this concept, I can only say that when folks battle alcoholism, addiction, and spiritual sickness together; battling against a common enemy, a bond is formed. Enjoy!!! And... Thank you for allowing me to participate in my recovery in this manner today!!!
