The views on the breath of fresh air podcast reflects the parties involved. I mean, I encourage you all to use it as a conversational tool. I will lead to personal studies of your own. Welcome to a breath of fresh air podcast.

Here with your hosts, Earl Roberts, and Nikhaz Ge. As a young person, Christianity can be so foggy, like spoken of mirrors and so unclear. But we're here to bring you a breath of fresh air. I'm hungry, but I just can't do it.

I can't define myself as food. Hey, sir. Oh, Daniel, good morning. How you doing this morning?

I'm doing pretty good, sir. If you have a moment, I'd just like to talk to you about something. Talk to me about something. Oh boy, what's that?

Everyone needs something. It's nothing major, sir. It has something to do with the food. The food?

What's wrong with the food? You're in the great line of Bobby line. What more could you want? I'm sure we got food better than what you guys are in Jerusalem.

Come on. No, no, no. My apologies, sir. It's not the quality of the food.

It's just as Jews, our faith prohibits us from eating such meat. And I was just wondering if you could serve us another menu. Perhaps. Just vegetables and water.

Be. What are you talking about? This food is meant to make you healthy and strong and nourish you. If you don't eat the king's food and you don't look healthy, it will reflect poorly on me.

So I must put my hand on the line for you? No. You have to eat the king's food. Sorry, Daniel.

That's it. You have to eat the king's food. Test us. I beg you.

Ten days. Give us vegetables to eat. And water the drink. And at the end of those ten days, if we look malnourished, deal with us accordingly.

I don't know about this man. Oh boy. Daniel, come on. You really don't put me in this position?

That's fine. Very well, Daniel. You drive a hard bargain. I'll grant you a request.

But guess what? If it doesn't work out, I can't continue to accommodate you. Ten days. That's all you've got.

Thank you. Ten days. In this week's episode, we meet four young captives who stand firm in their faith amidst the opulence and pressures of the Babylonian Empire. Despite the king's orders, Daniel and his friends choose a path of integrity and divine obedience, leading to an extraordinary outcome.

Join us as we delve into their inspiring story of courage, conviction and remarkable blessings that follow on way-wearing faith. As always, be blessed and enjoy. Alright, welcome back to another episode of a breath of fresh air podcast here with your hosts. The cards gate and earl robots.

We definitely appreciate everyone for tuning in this week. It's always great when we get to be in person. Vibes are much better. No internet lag, no weird other distractions.

It's always good. As a weekman, man. It was pretty good. I mean, preparing to go to graduation.

So I'll be in Huntsville this weekend. So we actually recorded this part in midweek. And so, you know, when you have to call out of time, you have to make sure some of your bases are covered. So I just do a lot of running around, making sure everything can be straight for our trip.

But I'm excited to go. I think I went to Huntsville last year for a long time. But it's always for my second home, you know what I'm saying? Or maybe my third home.

This would be my second one now. So I'm going to get to stuff in trouble. Yeah, for real. But how about you?

It's going good, man. Going good. Busy, but good. Sing all open doors and stuff.

So it's always good to just see how things progress forward. But yeah, man. It's good. It's good.

I don't really have a weekly thought for real right now. And I ain't going fake none. So one thing I've been trying to do is, all right, hold on, let me give one second. It's a verse in Peter.

I said it a few times, but my memory is not the best. Peter, be ready to explain, give an answer. So first Peter, three verse 15, always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. You see what I'm saying?

So it's like, for me, how can you, it's like be prepared to give an answer, right? My thing is, if you don't know why you have the hope, you will definitely just not be prepared to give that answer. We have this hope that burns within our hearts. Right.

And why do you have that hope? Because of the coming of the Lord. Exactly. So it's like you've got to always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks.

You know what I'm saying? So it's like, it's one thing among Christians when they ask you why you have this hope. You know what I'm saying? Why do you have this faith?

But sometimes you might run into people that are of different religion. You know what I'm saying? People that are actually like very opposed to your religion. And I'm not saying get into hostile arguments with people.

But if somebody would oppose if he was asking you, you should be ready to say that to give an answer. And in order to do that, you have to know why you believe what you believe. You see what I'm saying? You have to research that be convinced in your heart and be able to speak on that always, you know.

And so I was just thinking about that because you and I over the past couple of weeks, we've been talking about how there was some ministers like there was some urban apologetics. They call them people who are apologetic for the Bible. You know what I'm saying? I'm not the word of apologetic.

It seems like contrary to what it's saying, but yeah, terms apologetic for those who don't know apologetics are people that are. Some of those who die hard and willing to go to buy and defend the thing that they believe in. And usually the thing is like something that's controversial or highly criticized. So in this frame, in this frame, urban apologetic is someone who is black or brown or someone who's a minority that is also a Christian.

And they are die hard Christian and they are willing to debate and just preach unapologetically. I'm not apologetically, you know what I'm saying, for the thing that they believe in Christ, you know, and I appreciate those people are needed because there are people who can tell you, oh, you know, the Bible has plagiarized from the ancient Babylonian text and stuff like that. Like people who like, they like. Gilgamesh.

And it's usually people who are like very like black, you know what I'm saying? Like not in complexion, but like the way they appreciate the black culture and the way they carry themselves and the way they teach on blackness. Oh, we were kings and African stuff like that. And their philosophy is that the Bible is a carbon copy of an earlier text or whatever.

So they are apologists in that front. You have people who are urban apologists who say no, we are Christian, we are black. You know what I'm saying? God created us and all races come from Adam and Eve.

And so, you know, there are people who do that work, which is a great work. And one of the guys, he really criticized seven-day Adventism. They even used the term cult, you see what I'm saying? To me, that's a very harsh word.

And I don't like when people use words out of context because, you know, where do I mean it? Or you could Google the meaning of it. And some of the things that they disagree with Adventism on, it does not land on the cult. You might say, we believe different doctrines.

We obviously do. Most denominations of differing doctrines, you know what I'm saying? But some of ours are unique and they classify us with, they say, like, be similar to Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses and stuff like that. And so, it was a big thing online for a couple of weeks where a lot of Adventists were coming in defensive office, you know.

And it kind of helped me to understand how little I knew about certain topics because, you know, I'm a Christian, you know what I'm saying? I am also, we are also seven-day Adventists. But it might be like this minuscule thing that they say, oh, Adventists preach that Michael the Archangel, Jesus is Michael the Archangel. You see what I'm saying?

Or Adventists preach that the devil will be, will take on the form of Azazel, which is the scapegoat in Leviticus. And he will die as a scapegoat for sin. And people say, oh, they are called because they say the devil died for our sins. And it's like, bro, no, we never said that.

You know what I'm saying? And if you haven't read certain alloy literature, because they basically quote an alloy on both of those fronts, right? And if you haven't read that literature, it's like, oh, you don't know what you all believe. But I'm like, but that's not enough fundamental beliefs.

You know what I'm saying? Like, even as Adventists, we have the right to disagree with the right. And so first, like saying, like, everything your pasta preaches is 100% true. And you believe, yeah.

My thing is that the term just gets blue. The term is you was pretty loosely because, I mean, she was just go for it, right? Like, what is it called? Right?

And then, like, if you have a theological difference, it doesn't make you a cult. Right. And then there are other religions who straight up just follow someone or something. Does that make them a cult?

That's what I'm saying, bro. I'm like, Buddhism, Islam. Like, what are we talking about right now? So again, it's the nitpikiness of it, right?

But at the end of the day, you really got to know what you believe and where it's found in the Bible. Exactly. Because if you are not familiar with some of these things, or you don't even, like, let's say the scapegoat right? So the first time I heard that it is an Adventist line of thinking, that the devil is a scapegoat percent, God did not move me at all.

That's all right. I know what the scapegoat did on the day of a tournament. I know what that was. Like, there's also, you have to pass the line, like, the pass of a line.

That happens once a year. You see what I'm saying? Weekly sacrifice has happened. You know what I'm saying?

Like, and we know in the New Testament, without the shedding of blood, there's no remission of the sense, right? The scapegoat was never to be killed. The scapegoat represented any sin that had been missed in the year. You're in the year.

You're in the tone for this. Right? Any on the tone sin. Right?

So that's just my logic. I don't even have to look in the text, right? I'm like, yo, when they when they assign the goat, this you represent every on the tone sin. We're going to let we're going to release you into the wilderness.

And no one is allowed to kill him. Right? I'm like, this scapegoat and the law, the Pascal law that dies for the sins, they have two completely different jobs. You see what I'm saying?

So I'm like, if we know that Jesus fulfilled the law, fulfilled that point, right? If someone wants to say the devil is represented, the scapegoat represents the devil. And he's going to die for every sin I was unaccounted for because if you do not remiss your sin, you're going to die in sin. You get what I'm saying?

And if you don't confess your sins, you will not be forgiven. You get what I'm saying. So it's like, if you tell me the devil represents that, I'll be like, even if what I do a reason, I'll be like, okay, I see what you're coming from. Now, I don't have an opinion on that because I don't do no research, but that don't sound crazy to me.

Yeah, it's interesting analogy, but okay. Yeah. Okay. That's an interesting perspective.

You get what I'm saying? Like for real, bro. Like I rather than the people who's going to me and say we are gods because they look at the text. So it's like, bro, but even now I like, okay, bro, you look at the text, I saw you interpret it.

I can show you all the text in the Bible. We are gods. Hey, you say that you are going to die like a mortal mind, but like you say that you are god but you are not a deity. You know what I'm saying?

But anyway, I shouldn't I straight away from the point, but if you don't know what you believe, somebody can come at you. I wholeheartedly disagree with the notion that Adventist is a cult. You see what I'm saying? Now I do think we have extreme people in our church and I don't think the majority of people are actually, but there are some people who say this too serious and I feel like you can find out in many different denominations.

I don't think that's an advantage. I think these people just extreme people, whatever. But if you don't even know what you believe, you can be deceived by someone saying, hey, you guys what I'm saying? And if you don't know what you believe, how can you defend it?

You know what I'm saying? Like I represent from this body. I represent this body of people. Right?

Someone is saying, bro, no, you're wrong. You're wrong. You're actually a post state church. You know what I'm saying?

You're actually a teaching false doctrine. If I don't know what I believe and if I am prepared, I can't even get, I can't even debunk what you're saying. You know what I mean? Nope.

They can present anything to you. You're just going to be like, huh, I'll just shake your face. And that's the thing. Like the devil wants people to live in a lot of confusion.

A lot of people think like, I mean, I say this to you before, it's like a lot of people think like the devil and God play about the same rules. They're not like God wants a relationship between you wants to believe in him, like believe in a devil. Don't care whether you think he exists or not. If a devil can keep you from just not believing in God and keep you in a confusion place, he wins.

Well, he wins that battle. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. So it's like, you just got to know.

The only way to form a relationship with God is actually to read the Bible. And then once you form that relationship with God, start reading the Bible, there are things you want to start doing this. There's a certain way of life you're going to want to aspire to live. Like it comes by reading and by comes by faith, comes by hearing and by hearing the way to God.

So anyway, it's the only way you can do it, man. And it comes just like this, so much more important, just because the world is headed. You know what I'm saying? Outside Adventism, outside of like Christianity in general, right?

It's like you got to know the truth because of where the world is headed. Even if it's not for use for like your kids, your grandkids, just to impart the knowledge and wisdom to them because if you know the Bible, and what you have to go through, you know, like, okay, there's going to be a time of a trip, there's going to be times when laws are passed, there's going to be time when you're really going to be doing good. But the world says it's evil. And you're going to have to know why you're standing up against the laws of the law at the time, right?

So it's going to be a time when knowing what God wants you to do is super important. But, and that's why. And that's really why. Because it's going to be a time when, I mean, just imagine living in a days of Noah, right?

Like, think about it. Noah, the amount of God is saying that a flood is coming. And you have someone preach 120 years. That's our loan unfathomable.

The preacher, like, essentially one message. Give people saying clearly this guy is crazy, right? But think about it. When you have someone who you see is being led by God to do something, right?

But no one else is actually hearing his word or listening. Like, why? You know what I'm saying? Like, why was only one person going against what everyone else was doing at the time?

You know, so it's just an interesting perspective to have and to know. Yeah, bro. Man, I don't want to be labeled as point too much. Because I was listening to a lot of people who was like, even to a reaction video as to people calling us a cult.

And even sometimes, like, I was like, this person, they talking too long. Like, they talking too long. Like, it was bothering me. And I was like, listen, I'm like, you all are a believer in this point.

I hope you all forgive me because I know I never spoke with that on the frame of my mind. So I probably believe it too many points. You know what I mean? So I try to be mindful of that.

But even in God's time, not God's time, even in the Bible, you have people who preach a word and other men of God come behind them and say, hey, no, that's not true. You know what I'm saying? Even Jesus is the prime example, right? Jesus, they are preaching.

He expounding on the law and stuff like that. And the whole Sanhedrin Council, you see what I'm saying? Like, this is the most godly of men, right? Perception lines, right?

They making a whole council saying, bro, this way I have to die. Exactly. Like, for real. Exactly.

The irony of that is that it was the truth. He had the dies of the weak. For our sins, you get what I'm saying. So to give us eternal life, but they didn't see that at all.

You know what I'm saying? So just you have to be able to understand the truth, take value and truth and to know the truth and in order to do that, you have to read the word, you know, and pray and, you know, ask God for wisdom. Right. So this week we start a new journey and something we kind of decided upon in the middle of the last journey we were on.

This week we start the book of Daniel. I apologize to anybody that thought I'd be going to Job. The sad thing about it is I was looking forward for Job for almost three years now. So, but you know, given the state of affairs, we think it would be pretty fitting to do Daniel.

And so we're in the book of Daniel. And Daniel is an interesting book. I mean, it's full of prophecies. You have some type of storylines on that too.

It's, I mean, if you know the timeline, so much other stuff was happening in the world right now here, Confucius Living, the writings of Aesop hopping around this time. The first was to go around Africa by sea around this time. The Mayans were actually living and thriving in Mexico around this time. Like, it's so, like it's so crazy.

I mean, these things are actually happening and Buddha, I guess, around the same time as Confucius. So it's a pretty interesting time to be alive. And that's actually very interesting. Brandon, Marty's people were so isolated.

They really didn't even know about each other. Oh, definitely don't know. That's the wildest thing about it right now. Like two series of Confucius and Daniel.

Two very prominent people living in the sea. We probably didn't even know each other existed. But their writings became so prominent and so pivotal. I wonder, bro, because you know, anyway, I could get it to that.

I could get it to that. But yeah, that's actually very interesting. Before we had like the technological advancements that we have now, but it's like, you really could be confined to your region. But it does, it is amazing to know how much they didn't know during them times.

Yeah. Like a lot of news travel. Because it was two separate empires. I could be wrong.

So I didn't really fact check this before. I don't think the Silk Road was established yet either. Okay. So it wouldn't really need to be a reason for the Babylonians to get connected to the Mongols and the Chinese empires and the Asian empires for real.

Okay. Yeah. But you know, very interesting time. And the book of Daniel, it sets the tone of like what actual timeframe this was.

And if you're following the part for a while, we already kind of covered most of the timeframe of the Old Testament. So now we kind of going back. Yeah. Yeah.

So Daniel. Oh, let me switch to Daniel. Okay. Okay.

Okay. In the third year of the reign of Jehoa came. I've heard that name in a while. King of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, became to Jerusalem and besieged it.

And the Lord gave Jehoa came King of Judah into his hand with some of the articles of the House of God, which he carried into the land of Shinaar. Interesting. To the house of his God. And he brought the articles into the treasure house of his God.

So just a backdrop, right? So Jehoa came. That was, that was one of the last kings of Israel. So like when we go into first and second Kings, that's going to be in second Kings towards the end of the book.

Second Kings 23. We learn about, we get introduced to, I think it's 23, we get introduced to Jehoa came and then in chapter 24, we learn a little more about Nebuchadnezzar overturning. Well, conquering Judah. You know, after you conquered Judah, he actually put in place another king.

I think it was, I don't know, I think it was Jehoa came to his uncle. Is that a kayak? I'll tell you in one second. Anyway.

So, yeah, I don't know. So Nebuchadnezzar, when he came after Jehoa came, he conquered it. He conquered it down. And he put another king in place.

And, you know, they're going to give us a little brief synopsis of the setting. You know what I'm saying? So we can kind of understand the book it down. It was the time for him.

And also the plain of Shinaar was the same plain that the illustrious tower of Babel was built. Which is also another interesting thing, because apparently the remnants of the tower Babel was still around until Alexander the Great's time. Bro, now that is crazy, bro. And he is like three empires, well, two empires.

History was the Babylonians, which we're going to get into in this book. The Babylonians and the Medes and Persians then the Greeks, which was Alexander the Great. So, so sorry, I was just trying to find a certain time. Yeah, yeah.

Jehoa came. So he takes Jehoa again, and then he left his uncle in place. So that's how I was trying to remember. And it's really only a talk to him too, because they tried to upside with the Egyptians and he was like, bro.

It was all out water in that time. Yeah, I guess it was really with the Egyptians. Yeah. And you all went side with them.

He's like, I just got to deal with you all the way with Egypt. Yeah, I got to. You all want to jump into this? We all think you all this.

All right. So in verse three, the king instructed Aspenaz, the master of the eunuchs. I want to correct one more thing, bro. Go for it.

That's what I thought. That's what I thought. I was like, I think I was like too close together. Yeah.

That's what they come back up. I was like, it's Kim and chin. Yeah. Kim is what we talking about right now.

We're talking about Kim. And then chin was taken captive. And then his uncle, which would have been Kim's brother. Yeah.

Yeah. Okay. Anyway, let's take the book down here. Right.

In the second case, 24, I just can't confuse him. All right. So verse three, the king instructed Aspenaz, the master of the eunuchs to bring, oh mercy, to bring some of the children of Israel and some of the king's descendants and some of the nobles, young men in whom was no blemish, but good looking gifted and all wisdom. Possessing knowledge and quick to understand who had ability to serve in the king's palace and whom they might teach the language and literature of the Chaldeans.

And the king appointed for them a daily provision of the king's delicacies and from the wine which he drank and in three years of training for them so that at the end of the time, they might serve before the king. Now from among those with the sons of Judah were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, Azariah. To them, the chief of the eunuchs gave the names. He gave Daniel the name of Belti Shazar.

To Hananiah, he gave Shadrach. To Mishael, he gave Mishach. And to Azariah, a bad nigo. Why do we say a bendigo?

I don't know. I don't know. I remember reading that. I was like, oh, it's a bad nigo.

But you know what I hate? I don't hate it. I just despise it, bro. When ever, bro, the classic line in Black Church, they say Shadrach, Mishach, and one bad nigo.

Yup. Think bro, I like bro. Will this joke ever get stale in your arm? No.

No. That's why you would throw it in with another 1440. Ahh. What did I say?

That was quick. I press it. No. No.

That was quick. I'm sorry. You're actually inIX, okay? Wait.

You know what, it was a bit bad. I just had an almost brilliant. That was asked here. You say?

I mean. That was like... The other day. I think you did.

You before was this. What? I na moored so. What I'm...

Because you said that you see on ancient shows, it's like, you read the Bible, but it's just like, the Babylonian side, the Persians side, the one with some eyes, the Greeks probably had eunuchs. Like, okay, so that's a random dungeon. But. Daniel means God is my judge.

John and I are means, YAH has been gracious. Michelle, YAH, who is what God is? Azaria, YAH has helped. And in a second, I look at this up, because I should have had this done before, but I'm shot at me, shot in a bed and a go.

So, okay, so just for context, every person, like all of their names, had to do was prison, YAH, wait, this is my God, in some way. YAH. And so the Babylonians, they changed all their names. So, making more Babylonians.

Right, to make it more, to make it applicable to the Babylonian God. YAH. Because even Nebuchadnezzar's name means Nebuchadnezzar, the crown. Which is their God.

Okay, so now watch this. Shadrach means command of a coup, the moon God. Mishaq? A coup.

Right, means who is as a coup is? And a bed and a go means slave of the God, Nebuch or Nabu. That is crazy, bro. Mishaq YAH's name is, watch this.

Mishaq YAH, his name is, Mishaq YAH means who is what God is, right? Like one who is like what God is like, right? And they changed his name to Mishaq. Yeah, who is as a coup is?

They really just remix the line. You catch what I say. And so like they was like, oh, okay, that's what I mean, that's what I mean, that's what I mean, that's what I mean. We could just make it to, we changing the YAH.

I mean, we put in a coup there, basically. I mean, I was thinking about it too, like what the Bible's saying? He was bringing them that to do. He was bringing them that to teach them the language and literature of the Chaldeans.

I ain't bringing y'all here to be no Hebrews. I don't need Hebrews right now. I need smart, good-looking men who come in here to better my empire. I know what I do in making y'all Babylonians.

I strip it away, y'all culture. I strip it away, y'all identity. And a lot of people in the rest is how much religion is interwoven in culture. I strip it away, y'all go out from y'all.

Right, yeah. Every time you hear your name, you can remember our God. And Daniel's name, Balthishazar means the treasure of Baal. I think that also Baal is another term for Baal.

Very interesting. And so, and so then with the king's hair, right? I take, give me all the names, and now y'all get from my table. Y'all go drink my wine.

Which, and then I can make sure y'all get tree as a tree. Which in like, oh, non, like, bro, your whole city just get ramsock, I like burned, bro. So I was like, oh, this thing, I mean, it sucks. But at least I ain't dying.

And quite honestly, you treat me pretty good. And for context, right? So they, Babylon, they, you know, they encounter on the city, cut off the supply and stuff like that. They, they ambush, they kill a lot of people.

They take captive serviceable people, but they also laugh people. They laugh people who was of no good to them. I'm quote unquote. Exactly.

Like the port downtrodden, the weak. Like they, they, they, they left people who they're who. Who was in service, first serviceable for them. Yeah.

And you see the control because y'all, I ain't got to worry about y'all doing a revolt. Right. Y'all have no resources. And half of y'all city, if not the majority is burned down.

Because I'm saying y'all live in a row, one of mine. Yeah, my answer, I'm supposed to go back on rebuild. Build the city. You see what I'm saying?

This is one complete story. Like when I, when I was younger, I, I, I was, I was a adult, but I finally read through the Old Testament. And it didn't dawn on me. But these was just like a lot of the Old Testament is one continuous story from different points of view.

Right. So you see Joe, you just read about Joe. Like they don't give us much context or at the time that he lived in. And it's just about the point.

Right. I thought that most of the people we learn about North Testament was just like that. So yeah, it was just one day there was a guy named Joseph that's what happened in his life. All right.

Then there was a guy named Elijah that's what happened in his life. You guys are saying like, because I actually hadn't really read through it. Like, but you learn all of these stories in Sabbath school. Like people grew up in church.

Like your Sabbath school, your Sunday school. Like they teach a lot. Especially even if you go to a Christian school in Obama's Academy. I learned a lot about the Bible at Obama's Academy.

You know what I'm saying? Like, and so reading, reading Daniel went on the port. I discovered this in real time on the port. We was reading, we was talking about, we was talking about, we was in Kings.

Right. And, and, and they had introduced Nebuchadnezzar. Right. And I was like, wow.

There was another king. There was another king. I was like, oh, so Nebuchadnezzar and Daniel is like, you can answer the third or something like that. You guys are saying, because I thought about it.

I thought, I thought it like the books around, like, consecutive after each other. You see what I'm saying? So, because we still in Kings. There's no way.

There's no way. Like I didn't realize these two things happened at the same time. But there's absolutely no way. I was like, okay.

So by the time we get to Daniel is Nebuchadnezzar, probably the third or four. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. And so yeah, bro, like, so for context, like when you're reading these, these prophets, you could go back to Kings and Chronicles and see, like the kings and the cut, the, some of the stuff that was happening during the time of the prophets.

So, you know, Daniel is a prophet. He came about after Israel had already been captured, but, you know, you have a prophets like Jeremiah and even Jonah and people like that. Like you could go and read. Oh, when Jonah was around, King, what's that doing name?

Jeroboam II was in place and he did this. So, you know, I think, I think that's kind of, that's kind of cool. You know, it's like a well-rounded perspective. Yeah.

Oh, okay. So in Kings, that's what's happening. But oh, no, he was tripping his eyes. I was talking to all this.

He's talking crazy. He was like, bro, you all doing this. I don't listen. Okay.

Okay. So, I think they might say something like, I, Josiah, after Josiah, Josiah, slept with his father's and then reigned, King Johoyakim, and Johoyakim did evil in the, inside of the law. He lived and tell you it was x, y, and then he was taken captive by Nebuchadnezzar, right? But it's like, all I know is he do evil.

But now when I read the Prophet who was around during that time, they, they're getting into stuff like, oh, you're doing child sacrifices. You're killing people and then you're all going to offer temple sacrifice. Like it doesn't, like these things God don't, don't take the light in these things, you know. So, so you're like, bro, okay, like I really understand what the people of God were going through.

All right. So now, in verse eight, Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's delicacies, nor with the wine in which he drank. Therefore, he requested from the chief, from the, from the chief of the eunuchs, that he might not defile himself. Now God had brought Daniel into favor under good gold, the chief of the eunuchs, and the chief of the eunuchs said to Daniel, I fail my lord, the king, who has appointed your fool and drink.

For why would, so for why should he see your faces looking worse than the young man at age? Then, then would you endanger my head before the king? I kind of you looking hungry like you. You don't get in for you, bro.

Yeah, yeah, boys, hold on though. Hey, get my shit, hold on. Daniel, come on. Y'all eating the bass in the kingdom.

I leave him like the king. Like furthermore, you forget your, you technically a slave, bro. Yeah, don't forget. Don't forget.

Don't forget. Don't forget. Don't forget. Don't forget, don't forget.

But you mean, you ain't want to eat this, bro. I like you right, but hold on now, but you ask me like, so you don't, you don't eat the meat. And if you don't eat that, I'm doing my job. You endangering me.

You endangering me like I have you. Yeah, you're doing it. You have to be a Daniel. What, outside of that they be damn...the tree Hebrew boys they only know for...

it's quite Los Angeles, why I only get twenty five. Why is it Daniel Fos? Hold on, Daniel getting all the credit. This is offering you right to book.

This is my beef with extra from that time. I know that I said... No, no. No, no, no.

That is funny though, because when you think about upstanding from meat, like the Fos, which one of the Daniel Fos, but like, it can be too complicated if I call it the Hebrew boys. Like even just now I try Google the Hebrew boys name meaning it. It gave me a list of Hebrew names. Okay.

Let me be more specific, the tree Hebrew boys. Yeah, but let's see in verse 11. So Daniel said to the steward from home, the chief of the Enoch said over Daniel, Hananiah, Naimishael, and Azariah, please test your servants for 10 days. I let them give us vegetables to eat and water to drink.

Then let our parents be examined before you and the appearance of the young man who eat the portion of the king's delicacies. And as you see fit, so deal with your servants. So he can, so he can send it with them in this matter and test at them in 10 days. What's interesting to me is that like, so, you know, just like the Massa Batimian region, it's like the Middle East, right?

Iran and like that area. Yep. This is implying that the food that the king was given, if Daniel not ate it, it would defile his body, right? Which means, to me, which means that they only was offering unclean food, you see what I'm saying?

And so he was like, yo, there's going to be vegetables. You see that we can't go wrong with vegetables because all vegetables clean. Oh, it could have been like a bunch of meat that was offered to the gods. You know, sometimes the people said a problem with that as well.

Yeah, that's true. So it could have been clean, but you also don't sacrifice the god by not doing that because I sacrificed that to all gods. Yeah, so, you know, it's two options. Yeah, it is two options.

But the reason why I rather lean towards it being unclean is because they could sacrifice their vegetables and they go out too. And it's like, oh, I'm going to pick these myself. So, and it's funny because I just went to Dubai last year. Yeah.

You ain't going to go out and walk. No. But unless you eat in the shellfish, but you ain't off the water, but that. You don't have to worry about eating unclean meat.

You know, it's wild. Like, it's the same thing, but like when I went to India, when I went to Dubai, I mean, India also was crazy. It's like, bro, India is the largest population in the world with like a majority of people's vegetarian, bro. So like, either we're being cleansers, they're like, can I actually get meat?

Yeah, that's funny too, because like my neighbors, husband and wife, they offered to make us a meal, right? Aksa, dietary restrictions and stuff. We like, we just don't eat pork. And then like, you know, like, you will never, you'll never have to worry about us.

You can pour, that's what I'm saying. And then I remember that dang beef noodle. Yeah. Yeah.

Like, yeah, I see a pork, but I can raise you that beef too. You know what I mean? Like, so. I've been told with that, right?

Yeah, I've gone to McDonald's. I was going to go big mac on the menu. I say, OK, you know, give me that up. Yeah, for real.

And I was funny though, just observing like the Indian people that live in Florida, like where I live, a lot of their parents come here, you see what I'm saying? So like, they might like the people who like own houses in my neighborhood, like they probably do well. They have the house and stuff. And then their parents come and you'll see their parents walk every day, every day they can walk like they can get exercise.

You see what I'm saying? So it's like, I'm on to my name to the point of my neighbors. One of them is a vegetarian. Like, I just, I find that interesting too.

You know what I'm saying? Because I've finished church has preached a health message since the inception, you know what I'm saying? Like, that's a lifestyle thing. And we're not, it's not that message.

It's not unique. It's not unique to us, but the Jews have it. Like, if you are, if you are, I don't know the term, but the Jews who actually follow, you know what I'm saying? You have to dietary restriction.

It was just kosher, kosher, and then you have halal. Halal for the Islamic Islamic, right? And so it's like, a lot of religions, they have, you have to discipline and you die, you get what I'm saying? Like, that is not, that is not unique to our fantasy, but it's true to it, you know what I'm saying?

Like, health, you know what I'm saying? Like, and how it affects you. And I think this, I met a girl, right? And it's funny because I didn't know, I know of a mutual friend and she was telling me, it's funny because she said, she's like, yeah, I have this condition called narcolepsy, right?

And it made me laugh in my mind because I'm like, but who doesn't know what that is, but then I guess she's the one of it. So she know people probably don't know what it is. You get what I'm saying, but how she, how she address it. And for those who don't know, that's like a sleep, sleep disorder where you actually fall asleep a lot, you see what I'm saying?

And so she was saying that when she was like in, she was getting a master's, it was hard for her to study, like to focus because like she, like sleepy all the time. And she went vegan and it really helped her concentrate. And then we have a lot of, you know, you can have stories about people who are various diseases and they went on a whole food diet, you know what I'm saying? And it reverses the diseases and stuff like that.

And it makes sense because like a lot of diseases that we do have comes from the things that we've just yet, right? You get what I'm saying. So it's like, bro, health, you could downplay it, you know, but it's a very important thing in our everyday life. Like, and it doesn't affect like the way we focus and also the emotions that we have, like, you know what I'm saying?

Like, you know, it's just wild. Like, anyway, that's next time we're going to put food, but yeah, man, it's, and think about it, man, like, when we were in the garden of Eden, 6,000 years ago, billions of years ago, for y'all, some people. But, um, what were we eating? They would eat the fruits.

They would eat the stuff flying to fruits and vegetables. They didn't start eating meat and tell, yeah, arguably. Well, probably, I'll take a kick of the garden. I am sure I'm sure a king and people wasn't eating fruits and vegetables.

Because they were sacrificing a lot of fruit by y'all. Yeah. So, but y'all, originally our bodies was meant to eat fruits. I mean, some person said, which is, you know, people say something, but how do they say it ruins the message that they was trying to say it, right?

Like, when we were like, yo, no one should be drinking water. Like, what you saying, bro? I'm just gonna get a lot of water from our fruits and our vegetables. I'm like, okay, what?

Yeah, you take it. You can't do it. Yeah, like what's your point there, buddy? But, yeah, man.

So, and again, so obviously, like Daniel's saying, okay, guys, I don't eat your meat. I don't want to drink your wine. Your meat's going to defile me and your wine. Probably going defile me too.

You're going to eat me. No, but here's what I want to do. Just give me vegetables. Just give me vegetables.

Let me live off the lawn and drink water. And he's saying, you know what? I ain't asking for three years, bro. I ain't asking you to do it for all three years.

You have us 10 days. That's all we need, 10 days. And if it don't work, I can pitch you like, I don't know if he made that agreement. I said, well, give us 10 days, bro.

You think you say capitulate? Like, I was even talking English. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then he's a sharp guy.

I think he almost brushed me over my head, guy, right? Okay. He has a capacious vocabulary. I was like, I see, I see what's going on.
