Episode 193: "Is The Growth Of Your Business Geographically Restricted"

“Cut the Cord" I have been working on a goal for the last year and a half. That goal, is to not be geographically tied to where and how I make a living. I don’t want to be forced to move somewhere I don’t want to live in order to take a new job. I don’t want to be forced to stay somewhere I don’t want to live to keep a job. I want the freedom to choose both. Where I work and where I live. Lucky for me, I've found it. But even better, I’ve found it for others as well. Why is the 2nd part so important to me? Because I see too many people not having the opportunity to live their life to the fullest because they are geographically tied to their work. I have an agent on my team with a child that is extremely affected by allergies due to where they live. Everyday, this little girl runs into her parent’s bedroom, grabbing her mom’s phone to open an app to check the “Air Quality” for the day. “Can I go outside today mommy?” “Not today sweetheart" It's heartbreaking... The doctor has told them that if they want to lessen the burden on their child and bring them relief, they will have to move. But, it’s not as easy as it seems. One parent has a real estate business that has been built mainly on referrals. Moving to a new town to start over will be extremely challenging. The other, has to wait for job openings in the areas the doctor suggested they move. The challenge here is that they can’t take just any job. The locations the doctor has suggested are more expensive than where they currently live, so they need the “perfectt” opportunity to present itself. They need to be able to support their family financially in order to make such a move. I hate seeing them be tied down when they desperately need to move. I want to see them move. I want to help them move. I want their answer to be “Same thing I’m doing now”, when asked what they are going to do for work when they get there. I don’t want them to have to worry about what jobs are available in whatever town or city they choose to live in. Really, I don’t want anyone to have worry about that. As I push toward this goal, I am bringing this family with me. I’m bringing my family, my friends and whoever else wants to join, with me. I want to bring as many people as I can along with me. I want to bring people who believe it can be done, people who believe in me. People who no longer want to be forced to live somewhere they don’t want to because of their job. That is why, it’s time to… “Cut the Cord"
