Melissa started writing poetry when she was 18, but didn't publish her first book until she was 28. Her collection of poetry is a reflection of someone she used to be and writing it gave her the opportunity for healing and growth. 'Lose Me' is about overcoming a toxic relationship and the aftermath of the breakup. 'Last Kiss' is about losing someone and grief.
