It touched on so many forms of abuse and how he had to fight is way out of it all. It’s also about how to break that cycle of abuse from your own people and the people that should care about you and have your back. During our conversation, Joel shared with us his motivation to write Fights and tackling all these issues of abuse that present in his life and detailed in the book. Joel also shares a lot of great information about how he was able to break this abusive cycle within his own family since becoming a father and how abuse is present in various communities.
