Now this sin’t exactly untrue – most of the films he’s dropped by to discuss have been disappointing, silly, underwhelming, or just straight-up bad. But it’s certainly not deliberate – no grand plot where I think “Robinson’s on-deck; what’s coming out that’s shitty?”. In-fact, what’s amusing to me is that despite usually sitting down to discuss a lacklustre film, this guest always brings the goods. What’s more, he inspires me to bring the goods. Seven years later, and a whole new country he calls home – and he’s still inspiring fun episodes. What I’m saying is, sometimes it’s great to sit down with people you barely know and wax about a truly great piece of filmmaking.
