Episode 197 - Hail, Caesar!

The Coen Brothers are one of America's national treasures.  Their films explore intellectual themes that are part of the foundation of our national identity.  And much of their work is balls-out hilarious.  'Hail, Caesar!', while heavy on philosophical subtext, lacks the story to hang it all together.  After two very strong trailers that inspired a lot of interest in the film, the brothers' 19th directorial collaboration falls flat.  Andrew and Phil have an illuminating conversation about what worked in their new film, and what didn't.
