Episode 198 - Evan Baxter-Carr

from The Proven Knowledge Podcast · host Proven Knowledge

Dwelling in Scotland with a love and passion for both music and writing, Evan Baxter-Carr is the brain behind one of our favorite music blogs on the web today called “Doombox Music”. We had the chance to have our first in depth interview with Evan this week to discuss the site and where the idea originated from. As a fan of artists ranging from David Bowie to MF Doom he talks about how the wide array of styles he intakes helped to influence the place that Doombox has become. He talks about his approach to having music sent his way and what goes into his album reviews and write ups for the blog itself while also running his own radio show to give his thoughts on certain projects from an array of independent artists. Evan also has plans to finish writing and publishing his own book in the future as well as continuing to pursue other ways to keep music involved in his daily life. We love what he’s doing for the community and definitely encourage everyone to checkout doomboxmusic.com after this one to discover some amazing and talented individuals he’s shedding light on!
