Episode 199 - Eleanor Rose

from Crafting a Revolution · host Katie Freeman

Eleanor is a woodworker, sculpture artist and tool maker. From a small rural town in California, with no real exposure to art, to going to art school in New York, Eleanor enjoyed creating. It took losing access to a shop and realizing that she could make her own tools to start her on the journey into tool making. She grew her experience through working at different schools and running different shops, learning to machine and to cast. All through this her art reflected the very real internal struggle she was having with her identity. You can follow along with her own tool making work here and her collaborative work as the Ladies Who Wood here, both on Instagram.
