Episode 2 - African Melanin Queens vs Black Women

from African Melanin Queens. · host Goddess Asha Mariama

In this episode, I’m gonna be discussing a difference between African melanin women, a.k.a. African-American women versus black women. People need to understand there’s the difference between a nationality and a color when it comes to people. There are a lot of people that prefer to call themselves a color versus color themselves and actual nationality. And people don’t understand by calling yourself a color that means you are a nobody, Versus calling yourself with your nationality is means that is not only where you’re from but who you are. A lot of people don’t understand that calling yourself black is like calling yourself nothing. So I’m gonna use some examples of what I mean when I say why people need to stop calling themselves black and calling themselves African-American. And the stigma that comes with calling yourself black. I think by the time I get finished, hopefully a lot of people will learn something from this podcast.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/african-melanin-queens--5161875/support.
